| Hi tech mass copying racket busted, Centre Suptd among 9 arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu June 29: Sleuths of Crime Branch today arrested an impersonator and also busted a racket of mass copying in Ranbir Singh Pura area of city outskirts, official spokesman here said.
''Based on specific information, regarding mass copying and impersonation in an examination hall at a Centre in R S Pura area, the Crime Branch, Jammu registered a case and constituted a team,'' the spokesman here said.
"Crime Branch Jammu busted a hi tech mass copying racket and arrested nine persons including Centre Superintendent, his deputy and other government teachers besides students. A case in this connection FIR No.14/2012 under sections 419, 420,120-B/RPC Sec 5 of P.U.E Act 1987 and section 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006 has been registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu, spokesperson said.
He said, "As per the inputs, one Prabjot Singh, resident of Kotli Shahdowla, R S Pura was impersonating himself as Parvinder Singh and appearing in the examination of Mathematics subject of Class 10th (Jammu Annual Private-2012, Summer Zone) and some other students were indulging in mass copying in connivance with the Centre Superintendent and other staff members deputed by the State Board, for the conduct of examination at Centre number 245 at New Model Institute of Education, Khir Pind, R S Pura."
Other students were found indulging into mass copying through use of mobile phone, hands free headphones and blue tooth devices namely Vipin Kumar S/o Sham Lal, Gagan Deep Singh S/o S. Paramjeet Singh, Baljinder Singh S/o Girdhara Singh and Tajinder Singh S/o Bachitar Singh were also taken into custody for initiation of appropriate action under law.
The spokesman said that the Centre Superintendent namely Shamsher Singh, Master Government Boys High School, Rangpur Moulana, his Deputy Veerpal Singh, Master High School Gulab Garh, Sukhvir Singh
(Asst. Supdt) Private Teacher of Model Institute of Education, Khir Pind, R S Pura and Pawan Kumar (Supervisor) Govt. Teacher Govt. High School Satrayan were also detained. |
