Gupta hails coalition rule | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, June 30 : Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Subash Gupta today hailed the coalition government for undertaking developmental works. He was addressing a gathering at village Katal, Hiranagar today. Gupta said that the coalition government had registered tremendous achievement on all fronts with the introduction of numerous reformative measures in the state during its tenure. He said that a number of developmental works have been taken up in hand besides ensuring completion of several projects under execution. People from Katal and adjoining areas apprised the MLC about their demands which mainly included construction of toe wall, repairing of lanes and drains, fresh BPL survey, pension of widow and old age peoples, etc. Later, Gupta also visited the Chadwal to take stock of on-going development works in the area. The people of the area put forth their demands and grievances which include shortage of drinking water in OBC Basti and Chadwal Morh and demanded installation of new hand pump, overhead tank (OTH) for Chadwal. Gupta appealed the people to extend their complete cooperation to the present Government for overall and equitable development of all parts of the state. He said that the coalition government is accordingly focused attention to vital sectors like PHE, Education, Power, R&B and Health and numerous reformative steps are being taken up in the regard. Referring to the demands put-forth by the locals, he said problems of the people would be solved on priority so that people living in border areas can live their life with ease. He announced Rs. 2 lakhs for development of Katal and Rs. 2.50 Lakh for Chadwal area. Later, Gupta inaugurates two deep handpumps in village Chadwal. |
