Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 30: BJP Mahila Morcha activists today took out a protest march from the party headquarters against the report of Interlocutors and burnt the copies of the report demanding its immediate rejection. The protests were held under the leadership of Mahila Morcha State President Sakina Bano. Morcha activists were carrying placards with slogans against the report. Sakina Bano, while addressing the Morcha activists at Kachi Chawni Chowk, said that it is indeed unfortunate that the Congress-led UPA at the centre has adopted complete silence over the recommendations of the Dilip Padgaonkar led team of Interlocutors, which has invited wide-spread anger and resentment across the country. She said that whatever was expected from the team of Interlocutors cannot be achieved as the long pending issues of refugees, discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh, political empowerment of Jammu, tackling problem of unemployment, dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to valley, abrogation of Article-370 and scraping of separate symbols in Jammu and Kashmir. Sakina Bano said that the Interlocutors seem to have worked on the pre-set strategy and the document itself has created confusion in the minds of people fearing that the same has been carved with the sole motive of suggesting ways and means which weaken India's sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir and also provoking the people with separatist mindset to raise anti-India demands.
Report clearly serves purpose of anti-nationalist and also separatists and hence need to be rejected without wasting a moment. She also appealed the public to openly strengthen the BJP and other organizations opposing the report tooth and nail. BJP State Secretary & Mahila Morcha Seh-prahari Purnima Sharma, BJP State Spokesperson & Morcha National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Kamal and Morcha activists Sangeeta Gupta, Sudesh Mehra, Raj Rani Jamwal, Swarna Arora, Parveen Arora, Sanjeeta Dogra, Sharda Parihar, Santosh Kumari, Sheelo Devi, Rekha Sharma, Raj Kumari, Rano Devi, Krishan, Sunita Devi, Geeta Devi, Suman Kumari, Rekha Devi, Mamta Sharma, Pushpa Devi, Ranjana, Basanti Devi, Vijay Sharma, Prem Lata, Pinki Devi, Rani Devi, Darshana Devi, Shakti Devi, Sharda Devi, Maya Devi and others took part in the protest demonstration.
