15 injured as police-CRPF resort to cane charge in Mahore | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 30: Atleast fifteen persons were injured, when police and CRPF restored to cane charge them at Mahore tehsil of Reasi district today. According to the report reaching from Reasi a driver Tanveer Ahmad son of Mahamdu of Mahore had parked his Tempo (JK20-7704) at Mahore following a technical snag, this morning which was objected by the police following Mughal Road Car rally since the road section needs to be cleared. Report said that the driver and other people objected on it resulting into heated arguments between the police deployed along the road section for car rally which took ugly turn forcing police to resort to cane charge to disperse the protestors. Meantime more protestors joined in and demanded action against one Sub Inspector of Police presently posted at Police Station Mahore who ordered cane charge without seeking proper order from higher authorities. Senior police officials rushed to the spot and they pacified the protesters assuring action against the officials, if found guilty in investigation. Meanwhile the district administration has ordered investigation in this regard would be investigated by SDPO Mahore.
