| 6 injured in Sumo-Santro collision | | | early times reort
Kishtwar, June 30: Atleast six persons including four members of a family were injured in a head on collision between a Tata Sumo and Santro car here today.
"The injured presently undergoing medical treatment at District Hospital Kishtwar have been identified as Sohan Lal son of Bhawani Singh of R K Puram Delhi, Preyag Singh Son of Hem Singh Vhist of Uttaranchal, Bimla Devi wife of Suresh Kumar Bhaghat, Anil, Vikas and Meenakshi Devi all children of Suresh Kumar of Kuleed Kishtwar, sources said.
According to police sources, Tata Sumo bearing regd no: JK17-0519 and Santro car bearing regd no: JK02AT-8259 had a head on collision resulting in injuries to six persons. Reports said that after hitting the Santro, the driver of the Tata Sumo fled the spot. Meanwhile, after receiving the information, Kishtwar Police in association with volunteer organizations evacuated the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar.
As per Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar, the condition of all injured persons are stable. Police has registered the case and a manhunt is on to nab absconding driver of the Tata Sumo.
