JWAM apprises JMC officials about problems of traders | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 1: Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) K. L. Khajuria along with staff and officials of ERA today held an interaction with President of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) Sunil Dimple about ongoing sewerage work in Amphala, Janipur New plot, Sarwal, Rehari Chungi, Bakshi Nagar, Subash Nagar, Talab Tillo areas of Jammu city. Dimple apprised the officials about problems being faced by over 500 traders in the areas of Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur High court, Bantalab road. He told them that traders have been facing rough weather owing to the fact that goods worth crores of rupees have got destroyed. He said all the roads have been damaged and dust is leading to fatal diseases like TB, Chest diseases to the traders, people. He said that due to substandard work done by the ERA, PWD is not taking up the black toping work. He said that roads lanes destroyed for the last one year have not been black topped. Dimple demanded arrest of the culprits and sought stringent action against all those who are allegedly involved in the "sub standard quality work". He demanded construction of multi storied parking at Panjteerthi, Supper bazaar Shalimar, and at bus stand Jammu. He demanded for starting Metro Rail, Mono Rail and Construction of Circular Roads to solve the traffic problem faced by the people of Jammu City. |
