| Bovine smuggling bid foiled | | | Early Times Report
Samba , July 2 : In its continuous drive against the illegal trafficking of bovine animals, Samba Police intercepted a truck bearing No. JK02AB-8295 at Bus Stand, Samba carrying 10 bovine animals, but on seeing the police party, the driver tried to flee away from the spot. However, the swift action taken by Police Team headed by Inspector Rajinder Khajuria SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Israr Khan , SSP Samba and Munish Anand, Dy. SP HQ Samba, stopped the vehicle after giving a hot chase at Mansar Morh, Samba. On search of the vehicle, it was found loaded with 10 bovine animals without valid documents.
The vehicle loaded with animals was seized and accused driver namely Vijay Kumar S/o Amar Nath R/o Sunderbani, Rajouri and another accused Mashkoor Ahmed S/o Mohd Rafi R/o Batote were arrested. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 122/2012 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 Cruelty towards Animal Act was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. |
