Arrangements for July 4 protest reviewed

Rajouri, July 2 : Peoples Democratic Party district unit Rajouri today finalized the arrangements of Tehsil level protest demonstrations being held on July.
In a press statement issued by the party spokesman, Rajouri unit of PDP hold district level party workers meet which was presided over by Abdul Qayoom Dar, District President. Other senior party leaders viz Choudhary Qamar Hussain, Shahzad Khan, Tazeem Dar, Anjum Mirza, Advocate Ahsan Mirza, Tahir Lone, Ashok Sharma , Manzoor Ahmed Shah,Haider Aatish,Rafiq Lone,Shafqat wani,Ayoub Wani,Rahid Wani,Barkat Ali,Ameen Malik besides other workers participated in it.
Speaking on the occasion, District President Abdul Qayoom Dar said that party high command had decided to hold protest rallies at Tehsil levels in all the state and they are well prepared to show their strength on the roads on July 4.
Taking dig at government, Dar said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during his tenure as Chief Minister had not only streamlined the state's grim situation but had also controlled corruption besides initiating major developmental projects but National Conference led government has once again derailed the state. He said that the situation of state was turning grim and people have started feeling unsafe.
Dar said that rising prices could have been controlled by this state by decreasing VAT and other taxes but state is not in favour of the common people and they believe in luxury life of themselves. He said that keeping in view the failure of government on all fronts to solve peoples problem, PDP has decided to come on roads and people are tremendously cooperating the party because they realised that NC is anti-people party and they felt the need of Mufti at this juncture.
