Residents rue shifting of bus stand | | | Early Times Report BHADERWAH, July 2: The local administration of Bhaderwah has come in under criticism for not allowing the buses to enter in the old Bus stand Pasri and Sari Bazaar Bhaderwah and shifting of the bus stand to Kotli village without ensuring that the new bus stand was equipped with all amenities. One Abdul Kabir Malik expressed his resentment over the shifting of the bus stand in a haste merely on the grounds that the old bus stand in the heart of the town was chaotic. The new bus stand has no good lavatory and bus shelters, he said adding the passengers found it difficult to reach the new bus stand on time as Auto drivers are charging higher rates and now Sari Bazaar and old bus stand Bhaderwah area is giving look like a old village . The entire bus stand area is also dusty, he further complained. It has also been alleged that though the authorities were informed well in advance regarding the problems that would crop up after the shifting of the bus stand, they had done nothing to solve the same. Thakur Yudvir Singh a local of Bhaderwah town demanded that bus and matadors should be permitted to enter the Sari Bazaar and Pasri bus stand only to drop the passengers so that poor people may not suffer. He expressed its strong resentment to the shifting of the bus stand in haste to Kioli village without ensuring any basic amenities . Local people demanded that order of not allowing the buses in Bhaderwah town should be revoked and small auto stands should be created in the town. |
