| PDP has only been indulging in mudslinging and false propaganda: Rana | | | Early Times Report
Wachi (Shopian), July 2 : Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana today said that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has always hoodwinked the people by raising hollow slogans, making false promises and spreading baseless canards against their opponents. He said PDP rather than behaving like a responsible political party in the opposition and checkmating the government with facts and figures, PDP has only been indulging in mudslinging and false propaganda. He said it is sad that the people who voted in their favour in 2008 elections feel betrayed and dejected particularly those in South Kashmir because of sheer neglect and their unconcerned behavior towards the electorate.
"Today the people of South Kashmir are regretting their decision and waiting for an opportunity to teach PDP a lesson in the hustings", Rana said while addressing party workers at Chatargam in Mehbooba Mufti's constituency Wachi.Rana said PDP leadership has gone into a habit of raising false issues and false alarms with the aim of sensationalizing the matters without any genuine concern for the people of the state, which he said is very unfortunate.Rana said PDP is living in a bygone era where politics was about conspiracy, intrigue, mischievous mechanizations and dubious maneuvers but unfortunately for them (PDP), Omar Abdullah who has emerged on the scenario of Jammu and Kashmir politics has changed the entire discourse and has already laid the foundation for a value based, ethical, clean, development oriented politics. He said PDP leadership in the last couple of months has realized that their politics is exposed in the valley and have now started running to the plains of Jammu speaking one language in Kashmir and another across the Peer Panchal but he said that PDP's double speak has been exposed, the people having seen through their dubious designs. Addressing the public meetings at these places Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari Vice Chairman Advisory Board for Pahari Speaking People , Kr Rachpal Singh Vice Chairman Advisory Board for Development of Kissans and Showkat Ahmad Ganai, ex-MLC said that during the last more than three years of the coalition government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has kick started many developmental projects and laid out many developmental plans to be carried out in the next coming years. Among others who spoke in the meetings included Shabir Ahmed Kulley, Bashir Ahmed Wani, Advocate Abdul Majid Bhat, Rafiq Ahmad Khan, Safdar Ali Khan, Haji Mohd Sadiq Bhat, Nisar Ahmad and others. |
