| Four arrested for assaulting LJP leader | | |

Jammu July 2: Udhampur police has claimed to have arrested four persons involved in manhandling Lok Janshakti Party leader in Udhampur. A case stands registered in this regard at P/S Udhampur.
According to police a case under FIR No. 223/2012 U/S 341/323/382 RPC was registered in the P/S Udhampur on 29-06-2012 following the complaint of one Ravi Tickoo S/o Pyare Lal Tickoo R/o W.No. 10, Udhampur, National Secretary Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) stating that he was stopped by some criminals when he was on way to his house along with his driver in his vehicle.
"The criminals started beating him mercilessly and even snatched his mobile phone and fled away, police added.
Police said, "Accordingly, the Police Party of P/S Udhampur arrested four accused persons namely Raju S/o Mohan Lal R/o Adarsh colony Udhampur; Balwant Singh S/o Late Sanak Singh R/o Subash Nagar Udhampur; Upkar Gupta S/o Sham Sunder Gupta R/o Adarsh Colony Udhampur and Narinder Singh S/o S.Kehlar Singh R/o Govind Nagar Udhampur in the case.
