| Prof. Saraf takes over as JU's maiden lady DAA today | | | early times report
Jammu, July 2: Prof Neelam Saraf would make history of sorts when she assumes charge of Dean Academic Affairs of the University of Jammu tomorrow, as she would be the first woman incumbent to hold the coveted office.
The office of the DAA was relinquished by Prof. RD Sharma who has been nominated as the Chairman of the Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE). Prof. Saraf, an academician of high repute, has rich administrative experience and has held several important positions in the University administration. Prior to her nomination as DAA, she has been HOD department of Hindi, Convenor Board of studies, Director Academic Staff College, Convenor Kashmir migrant cell JU, Chairperson CASH (Commitee Against Sexual Harrasment), Dean faculty of Law and Member of many important committees of Jammu University.
While giving a send off to Prof R.D Sharma, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, Prof. MP Singh Ishar affected minor reshuffle in the University administration at the top level. According to the order published today, Prof Lokesh Verma, Head Department of Education has been named as the next Director Academic Staff College, the post which was earlier held by Prof. Neelam Saraf. Also, Prof Neelu Rohmetra shall be the next Rector, Kathua campus of Jammu University.
