| DDC reviews plan formulation | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 3: An interaction cum appraisal session of the plan formulation for the financial year 2012-13 regarding implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes and state sponsored schemes in the district was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma here today.
Sarpanches of Jammu District (Border villages), ACD Jammu K. K. Sidha, DPO Jammu and Block Development Officers of eight blocks of Jammu district participated.
The DDC Jammu obtained feedback regarding plan formulation of the centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, BADP plan etc.
The DDC exhorted upon the panchayat representatives to play a proactive role for effective implementation of Government Schemes in coordination with the line departments so that benefits of the schemes and programmes reach to the intended beneficiaries.
Threadbare discussion regarding empowerment of panchayats, coordination with the line departments and progress made thereof was held with feedback for Sarpanches wherein they putforth the problems faced which were resolved on spot by the DDC Jammu in consultation with ACD and DPO.
DDC further stressed upon Sarpanches to maintain close coordination with the line departments so that people participate at grassroots level in plan formulation, decision making and implementation. |
