Pandits justify separate colonies, homeland, say likes of Geelani trying to change demography of state

early times report
JAMMU, July 3: Kashmiri Pandits have taken head on with hardliner Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani for opposing their settlement in separate colonies in Kashmir Valley and termed it a mechanization of Hurriyat leader's sick mindset.
Defending not only the settlement of KPs in separate colonies but at a single concentrated place in Valley the KP leaders said being aborigines of Kashmir the Pandits have every right to demand their due share in territory of Kashmir and no separatist leader including the Geelani can deny them this right.
Strongly reacting to Geelani's statement Roots in Kashmir convener Vir Ji Saraf said that Pandits have over 5000 year history in Valley while Geelani and his like are outsiders who have forcibly settled in Kashmir. So these are not Pandits but likes of Geelani who have changed the demography of the Valley and forced its aborigines to flee from their homes and hearths and lead an exiled life outside the Valley.
Terming Geelani a threat to secularism in the state, Saraf demanded action under law against him so such forces who preach hatred and communalism will not dare to raise their ugly heads in future. Saraf also appealed the secular and peace loving people of the country to isolate the people like Geelani who are becoming a threat to world peace and are worst enemies of humanity.
He said Geelani like people are preaching hatred and communalism in a secular country like India and if they are not curbed they will prove a threat to national unity and integrity.
Saraf while justifying the separate homeland for Pandits in Valley said they have been denied the right by the communalist elements like Geelani and hence the Pandits have no alternative except to demand the separate homeland as per the Marg Darshan resolution of 1991 and with the provocation made by Geelani, Pandits will intensify the movement for homeland by mobilizing the public opinion all over the world for their rights that how Islamic jehadis like Kasabs and Jindals were involved in a conspiracy against uprooting this peace loving community, he added.
Ridiculing the Geelani's statement Kundan Kashmiri, president Kashmiri Pandit conference (KPC) said that in 2008 he and his men opposed the transfer of land to Swami Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) leading to land row agitation in the state and creating a gulf between the Jammu region and Kashmir Valley. Now on the behest of Pakistan, he is trying to repeat the same in Kashmir and demanded that Geelani and likes be thrown out of Valley as was done in case of Moulvi Yousf Shah by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah so that the bad elements like Geelani are thrown once for all out from Kashmiri's political scene.
He said by settling the Pandits, Geelani is talking of demographic change in Valley and settlement of Hindus by RSS and GoI but what about those Jehadis who have gone to Paksitan and now return with dozen of children and their wives to settle in Kashmir. Is not this the violation of separate status of the state granted under Article 370.
For the Hindus from rest of the India there is ban on settlement in Valley but hundreds and the thousands of Muslims who have come from Pakistan as the families of surrendered militants to settle in Valley. This is a conspiracy of separatists to change the demography of Kashmir and turn it into an Islamic state.
Mr. Kundan said KCP will launch a nationwide agitation against the Geelani's and separatists this game plan as Hindus from India are debarred for settling in Kashmir while the Muslims from Pakistan are free to settle.
Taking serious exception to Geelani's outburst, RSS activist Bushan Lal Bhat said the separatist leader is in a state of frustration so he is dragging the name of Sangh unnecessary. However, he justified the demand for abrogation of Article 370 and settlement of outsiders in J&K saying that same law should prevail in entire country.
