| CB books three fraudsters, revenue officials | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 3: Crime Branch, Jammu has registered a criminal case against three persons and officials of the Revenue Department for their involvement in the offences of cheating, fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
According to spokesperson of Crime Branch, Jammu, the organization has registered a criminal Case FIR No.15/2012 u/s 419,420,423, 465,466,468,471, 120-B RPC r/w Section 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006 against three individuals identified as Nazir Ahmed S/o Allah Rakha R/o Chowadhi, Jammu, Shamim Akhtar W/o Gaffar Hussain R/o Chowadhi, Sajad Hussain S/o Mohd Yaqoob R/o Chowadhi, Jammu and officials of the Revenue Department for their involvement in the offences of cheating, fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
"In a written complaint Deep Kumar S/o Manohar Lal R/o Bahu Fort, Jammu with the Sub-Registrar (Sub-Judge) Jammu stated that he is owner in possession of land measuring 7 Kanals at Village Chowadhi, tehsil and district, Jammu. Out of the said land, land measuring 3 Kanal 12 Marlas falling in Khasra No. 1177/ min, Khata No. 224/ min and Khewat No. 18 and land measuring 1 Kanal 12 Marlas falling under Khasra No. 1176/ min, Khata No. 224/ min and Khewat No. 18 was purchased by him vide sale deed dated February, 19, 2005 whereas land measuring 2 Kanal falling in Khasra No. 810/ min, Khata No. 232/ min and Khewat No. 18 was purchased by him vide sale deed dated September, 8 2005 and necessary entries were got reflected accordingly in the revenue record, the spokesperson said.
He added that the complainant further said that some persons came to him with the plea that they had purchased the land belonging to him on May 27, 2012. Apprehending some foul play, the complainant approached the office of Sub-Registrar, Jammu and came to know that two documents of sale both dated 24.05.2012, purportedly executed by him, one in favour of Nazir Ahmed S/o Rakha alias Allah Rakha R/o Chowadhi, tehsil and district, Jammu and the other in favour of Shamim Akhtar W/o Gaffar Hussain R/o Chowadhi, teh. & distt Jammu were found received in the office of Sub-Registrar, Jammu for registration.
"The complainant further claimed that he never approached the office of Tehsildar concerned for the issuance of "Fard" nor has he appeared before the Sub-Registrar, Jammu for the registration of the said sale deeds etc. and subsequently the said complaint was forwarded to Crime Branch, Jammu u/s 156 (3) Cr.PC with the direction to register a case, Crime Branch stated and added, "accordingly, a formal case stands registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu under the relevant sections of law against the accused persons and investigation of the case is on."
