| 19 Killed, 23 Injured in accident | | | 19 KILLED, 23 INJURED IN ACCIDENT
RAJOURI, February 2 = At least 19 passengers died and 23 others were injured in a road accident when an overcrowded matadoor in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell in a deep gorge on Friday morning near Dabhar in Nowshera in Rajouri district.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Farooq Khan said,"19 passengers died and 23 others were injured when a matadoor skidded off the road and rolled down 150-ft deep gorge near Dabhar in Rajori district".
He said, rescue teams were immediately rushed to the spot to save lives of critically injured.In all thirteen injured were rushed to the Jammu medical college and 10 others were admitted in the district hospital in Rajouri.
Eyewitnesses account said that the local rsidents in the area were going to attend religious function on the occasion of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti when they met with an accident.
