jammu, July 3: Six JAKFED employees see a well hatched conspiracy in MD , Ravinder Gupta's attachment. They have lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch alleging the General Manager GL Abrol (now attached with Div.Com Jammu) and others were involved in the conspiracy. They demanded an FIR against them.
The complainants said they came to know about their forged signatures on the complaint against Gupta recently. "The signatures are forged as we have attached an affidavit bearing our genuine signatures", they said.
SSP Crime Branch confirmed receipt of complaint adding probe has been initiated.
Pertinently, on May 30 Government attached Managing Director of JAKFED, Ravinder Gupta with the office of Registrar Cooperative Societies and ordered an enquiry into alleged allegations against him.
Acting on the Government Order No.23-Coop dated May 30, 2012, a committee headed by Special Secretary, Cooperative Department was constituted to enquire into the complaints/ allegations leveled against the Managing Director, JAKFED.
While the committee comprising Rayaz Ahmad Mir, Joint Registrar, Banking and Finance, Registrar Office, Srinagar, Udham Dass, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Jammu and Accounts Officer, Registrar Office, Srinagar was enquiring into the complaints received by the Department against Ravinder Gupta with regard to mode of purchase of cement, role of purchase committee, floating of tenders for purchase of cement from Khyber Cements and other brand cements procured and sold, transportation of cement/ fertilizer, mode of payment to the agency, mode of transport of cement from factory to godown, distribution of LPG and other commodities including mode of sale and purchase of NAFED tea and system and methodology adopted for fixation of rent of shops and outlets hired, the government entrusted Pardeep Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Jammu upon the inquiry into the complaints pertaining to the functionaries and functioning of JAKFED who would submit report to the Government within a period of one month.
In the order it was also stated that, Ravinder Gupta, Managing Director JAKFED and Girdhari Lal Abrol, General Manager JAKFED have been directed to report in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu with immediate effect.
Sudarshan Sharma, Registrar, Cooperative Societies will hold the charge of the post of Managing Director, JAKFED in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Meanwhile,Div Com Jammu Pardeep Gupta refused to have any access of the complaint lodged with Crime Branch by JAKFED employees.
