| JKDF rues Govt's failure to address youth issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , July 4 : To protest the State Government 's failure to formulate effective policy on employment and growing frustration among youth of the State, JKDF youth wing of Gandhi Nagar Zone today held a massive demonstration at Gole Market,Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The protest demonstration was led by District General Secretary Anil Balgotra in presence of youth wing President Munish Khajuria, Shehzad Ali and Harpreet Singh (Both District Secretaries). Earlier today hundreds of activists of JKDF gathered near Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar to protest in favour of the demands of unemployed youths who are deprived of their rights to get equal opportunities of earning their livelihood. The protestors among chanting of slogans burned the effigy of State Government to express their resentment with the policies of Government. The non serious attitude of Government to formulate the concrete policy for minimizing the unemployment problem has been flayed by all in one voice..
Munish Khajuria while speaking to media said, The unemployed youths of J&K were having many hopes from young chief minister of State Omar Abdullah, but young chief minister of State totally failed to come up to the expectations of youth. "Militants and Stone pelters are being given jobs in the name of rehabilitation, but the Nationalists youth of Jammu are being deprived of their rights and equal opportunities in State Government jobs. The continuous harassment and discrimination will compel the Jammu youth to indulge in Stone pelting like that of valley youth. We will not tolerate the injustice being meted to our youth and fight for our reasonable demands till they are being fulfilled. Said Anil Balgotra. Anil Gupta while flagging off the rally from JKDF office reiterated that the youth of Jammu are being discriminated and denied their just demands . The anger and frustration due to unemployment is growing with every passing day , Despite highly educated, Jammu youths are being left out from selection lists of SSB and JKPSC.
The resentment among the youth shall take ugly turn if the situation is not handled timely. " We demand immediate announcement of Rs. 2000/- per month allowance for unemployed youth till they are absorbed into the jobs"
