| PDP stages protest against power, water shortage | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 4: Jammu & Kashmir People Democratic Party (PDP) held a protest demonstration and burnt the effigy of State Govt at National Highway Kathua against PDD, PHE alleging Omer led regime is most corrupt and inefficient govt which failed to handle the prevailing power and water crisis. Alleging the government for regional discrimination with common people and total failure in all aspects, the protestors led by District President PDP, S Surinder Singh and others PDP activists assembled at National Highway Kathua amidst slogans against the PDD & PDE Ministry alleged that prolonged eight hours power curtailment has resulted into problems to people in Kathua city and its adjoining areas. Speaking on the occasion, Distt President S Surinder Singh said there is continue unscheduled power cut make the common men sick as it is start of summer season. Speakers warned PHE Minister to ensure the staff to provide clean water to the people in city otherwise PDP workers will march towards the PHE Minster's house. They said that it is duty of the government to provide the basic amenities to the public on the priority basis but the present NC-Congress led coalition government has failed.
