| JAKFED employees approach Sonia Gandhi | | Nexus between Minister, GM | | SUMIT SHARMA
Jammu, July 4: The staff of JAKFED (Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd), accused Doctor Manohar Lal Sharma, MoS, Independent Charge Cooperative, for taking the federation into slough of despondency. They also made the minister responsible for huge losses suffered by the federation.
In a complaint lodged to with Sonia Gandhi, All India Congress President, a copy of which is forwarded to Rahul Gandhi , Gen Sec AICP, Union Health Minister GN Azad,CM JK Omar Abdullaha and Pradesh Congress President Saif-ud-Soz , the JAKFED Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) leveled serious allegations against Minister Manohar Lal and attached GM JAKFED Girdari Lal Abrol for shielding each other's corrupt practices, which caused 300 crore loss to the cooperative sector and large chunk of which is of JAKFED.
As per the complaint, copies of each is in procession of ET, JAKFED, which works on its own resources and not government aid, bear huge losses owing to the nexus between Cooperative Minister and G L Abrol,ex GM JAKFED.
Though minister has issued separate vehicle and cavalcade from government side, and is no more chairman of JAKFED, the minister has allegedly been using JAKFED vehicles regularly for his family.
JAKFED purchased Tata Sumo Grandi No 1444/02AH for its employees in the year 2008, but the same was taken by Manohar Lal Sharma, minister, and deployed with her teacher wife. As per log book, the vehicle was taken to out of state several times which costs to Rs 3 lakh as fuel expense. Later when the vehicle was damaged, the minister took out other vehicle of JAKFED, and this time is of Bolero bearing registration number JK02AR/4628.The vehicle was attached to his wife again and other family members. The fuel expenses of both the vehicles go to around 40 lakh from the pocket of JAKFED, which is already facing crises and is on top list of sale tax evaders.
Further it is alleged that attached GM GL Abrol is instrumental for committing fraud by becoming self authority in respect of issuing and withdrawing expenses worth crores. This reveals the service book of Abrol procured through RTI. The scam was put before the eye of minister but the same file was thrown into the dustbin, they alleged
