Traditional religious fervor marks Birth anniversary of Shri Guru Hargobind Ji

Jammu, July 5 : On the auspicious birth Anniversary of Sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, congregation to celebrate of all Religious and social Sikh Organizations J&K which was held under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch at Gurudwara Digiana Ashram, Jammu, where all Ragis and Preachers also celebrated the holy day. During the course of sermons relating to the auspicious day, Mahant Manjit Singh Ji threw light on the life of Sixth Sikh Guru Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and asked the youth to follow the teachings of Guru ji. On this occasion he asked the youth to shun violence, refrain from drugs and come towards education side as numbers of Educational Institutions have been established by Mahant Ji.
After addressing here the Mahant Ji left for Rajouri on the invitation of District Gurudwara Prabandakh Committee, Rajouri as a special invitee in connection with the celebration of Sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Anniversary at main function at Rajouri. During the proceedings a resolution was passed by Sikh Sangat Gurudwara Digiana Ashram, Jammu, wherein all appealed to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, of coalition Government to take the matter of POK of 1947 Refugees for one time settlement of Rs. 30 lakhs to one family and forwarded to the Central Govt for approval and implementations; as per the norms and analogy of Kashmiri Pandits (Migrants).
They also reiterated that a Sikh Cabinet Minister be inducted in the cabinet besides an Sikh Judge in the High Court of J&K. Moreover, there should be a Sikh Member in public service commission J&K and in service selection Board too, besides Sikh Minority commission may please be regularized in J&K. besides this they demanded special quota be provided for POK refugees children of 1947 in Technical and Professional Colleges and jobs in Govt. sectors also.
Other Various Sikh Organizations J&K also participated and celebrated the said religious functions included S Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer, Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K S Kulwant Singh, Chief Advisor, Sikh Naujawan Sabha.
