| RJMS, JU Urdu Deptt honour Khawaja Ekram | | | early tmes report
Jammu, July 6 : "Dr Khawaja Ekram is a young and dynamic Urdu scholar who was assigned the duty of the prestigious central government department National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) recently by, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi. He is the right choice of the government to head this prestigious department. He is not only a good writer but also a well known organizer who had visited several countries of the world for the promotion of Urdu language" These views were expressed by the illustrious speaker in a function organized by the department of Urdu , University of Jammu in collaboration with Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society in honour of Director Khawaja Ekram , Director, National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language in the Prof. Gain Chand Jain seminar hall of the department of Urdu. The function was presided over by the veteran journalist Ved Bhasin while Jammu University Vice Chancellor Prof. M P Singh Ishar was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Prof Qudoos Javed Former HOD Urdu, Kashmir University was the Guest of Honour. At the very outset the HOD Urdu and President Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik in his welcome address discussed his close association with Dr Khawaja Ekram for the last ten years. He said that Khawaja Ekram is a well known Urdu writer as well as a best organizer who had organized several National and Inter-National seminars in the JNU.
