| NSF starts guiding bureau on Jammu University Campus | | | early tmes report
jammu, July 6 : National Secular Forum (NSF) today opened a "Guidance bureau-cum-information center" for admission seekers of various post graduate courses at University of Jammu. Registrar, Jammu University, Prof Naresh Padha, who inaugurated the Guidance bureau in front of varsity gate by cutting a ribbon, was the chief guest while Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Association (JUNTEU), President, Sunil Sahi, was the Special guest, Ashwani
Bakshi, joint secretary (JUNTEU),Dr.Vikas Sharma, President National Secular Forum and Dr.Hari Dass (Assistant Prof)were the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar, Jammu University, Prof Naresh Padha, appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF member to provide information and necessary guidance to admission seekers coming to the University. Registrar, Jammu University, Prof Naresh Padha, also exhorted upon all the students organization to work for the betterment of new entrants with the assistance of University authorities. He added that students are the backbones of the society. President (JUNTEU), Sh Sunil Sahi also speaking on the occasion, appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF activists and betterment for new comers. He said that the center would not provide guidance to the students but also try to teach them basic values of the life.
Dr.Vikas Sharma President NSF, said, "The main objective of establishing guidance bureau-Cum-information counter is to guide the freshers who are visiting the campus to seek admission in various Post Graduate Courses. He also said that besides providing guidance to the admission seekers, the bureau would try to solve the problem of students like attestation of admission forms etc. He also said that near about 500 forms attested by Dr Hari in the guidance Camp. Dr. Hari Dass also appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF and said that as admission forms as well as re-evaluation forms are being filled up in the varsity, many new students find it difficult to smoothly locate the exact location of the concerned office/ official to sought out their problems. Thus to help such students, NSF members have opened a bureau for the facility of the students. Those who guide the students are Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary. Narinder Singh, Chaman Singh, Sanjeev, Pushpinder Singh, Rishi, Pawan Sharma, Sunil Choudhary,others.
