| 650 ltrs kerosene oil seized, One black marketer held | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, July 6: Udhampur Police today claimed to have seized 650 ltrs kerosene oil and the arrest of one black-marketer allegedly involved in misappropriation of Kerosene oil meant for distribution among general public on subsidized rates.
"On reliable information, a Police Party of Police Station Kud conducted raid in the shop of one Mohd Arshad Malik S/O Mareed Hussain Caste Malik R/O Chaksoo Teli Bari tehsil Chenani District Udhampur and recovered 650 litres of Kerosene oil from there, probably belonging to CAPD, which was meant for distribution among general public on subsidised rates, police said. Owner of the shop namely Mohd Arshad managed to escape from the shop. However, his helper namely Rakesh Kumar S/O Sh. Dev Raj R/O Marmat tehsil and District Doda was arrested on spot. A case has been registered in this regard under FIR No.63/2012 U/S 3/7 E.C Act and further investigation of the case is going on. |
