Jammu, July 6: Police Station Pirmitha finally booked alleged Afghan National and started further investigation. The case was registered after the news of his involvement in land grabbing, holding job in JKSRTC on fake state subject certificate. It was Early Times that brought his Afghan connections to fore by flashing a news.
Meanwhile, SSP CID SB, in a communiqué informed that no direction was passed from his office directing SHO to take action against the alleged Afghan National. Pertinently, the recommendation was issued by DySP District Special Branch to SHO Pirmitha under letter No 2661/DSB.
Confirming the reports of lodging FIR against the alleged accused, a senior police officer informed that the complaint was received by SHO on 3 July through registered post by JKSRTC GM and was being investigated but it was after the news flashed by ET , a case in this regard has been registered, but no arrest has been made so far.

The alleged Afghan National, managed job in Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) as cleaner and duped lakhs for rupees in the shape of salary and other benefits from concerned department besides established business on encroached land of state, forest and Aquaf in city and outskirts finally exposed off by the investigating agencies. The investigations were done on the direction of CM Secretrait. The CM's secretariat also issued direction to DC office Jammu for verification of the state subject of the alleged accused which later proved to be fake. The matter was also brought into the notice of General Manager (ADM) JKSRTC who vide letter No JKSRTC /EC-IV/C1-3106/625 dated 21/6/2012 directed SHO Police Station Pir Mitha Jammu to lodge FIR against him. The recommendation was also given by DySP SB to SHO Pir Mitha directing him to take preventive action against the accused

The accused identified as Mohammad Saleem Khan son of Akbar Khan of Talab Khatikan, Jammu produced Fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) and school leaving certificate procured from Modern Academic, Chowk Serbanan on the basis of which he was appointed as cleaner in JKSRTC in the year 1985.The allegations were established when three government departments including DC Office Jammu, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Special B ranch of Police submitted their reports to Chief Minister's Secretariat. The RTI was also filed in this connection and an inquiry which was conducted by then Assistant Commissioner Jammu Sheetal Nanda in her report vide No DCJ/PRC/10/-11/1846 stated that the PRC file No 1134/PRC which bears signature of Naib Tehsildar was infact issued in favour of one Kuldeep Raj son of Sunder Dass of village Jandial, Jammu. The JMC in its report vide no JMC/Estt/5113-15 in its report to SB stated land grabbing by Saleem Khan.
