| Budda Amarnath Yatra arrangements reviewed | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, July 7 : Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Sayeed Anwar Hussain Shah today chaired a meeting of district officers, representatives of religious shrines, arrangement committees and prominent citizens of civil society to review arrangements for this year's Budda Amarnathji Yatra. Various decisions were taken during elaborate discussions with regard to smooth conduct of current years Budda Amarnath yatra from Poonch to Mandi Tehsil in the meeting. Besides, arrangements like transport, foolproof security, boarding and lodging, power and water supply, cooking gas, foodgrains for langers, first aid and other health care facilities and telephone communications facilities etc were deliberated upon in detail. The DC constituted various committees and control rooms to maintain close liaisons with district administration and committee members of shrines for smooth conduct of the yatra.
The yatra would start on July 19, 2012 and Chhari Mubarak would start on July 31, from Shree Dashami Akhara Mandir Poonch towards B. A shrine in Mandi Tehsil. Yatra would culminate on August 2, 2012 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. |
