| JKDF holds workers meet at Tawi island | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 7: A meeting of the workers of JKDF was held at Alora under the Chairmanship of Bishan Dass Sharma to highlight the problems being faced by the public of Tawi Island.
Deepak Sharma District President, Jammu Rural JKDF while speaking in the meeting strongly criticized the authorities for worst condition of Satwari-Mandal-Malwal Road and demanded immediate repair/black topping of Mandal-Malwal Road and upgradation of Government Girls High School Sohanjana. The Students have to travel 5 km distance to reach the destination which is quite unjustified. It is further demanded for immediate restoration of water supply to the tail ends of the area where the proper supply is ineffective which results loss to the harvesting of crops especially in the areas of Malwal, Kothey Sohanjana, Bharmbali, Alora, Tikroo Tera, , Jawala puri etc.
Deepak Sharm further said " We demand immediate announcement of Rs. 2000/- per month allowance for unemployed youth till they are absorbed into the jobs"
It is further stressed that the delegaton of powers to the Sarpanches and Panches by implementing 73rd Amendment of Indian Constitution in the State at earliest possible. |
