| Lady detenue among 2 killed in Poonch accident | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7 : A lady detenue was among two persons killed and six others were injured when a vehicle carrying them rolled down the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. "A lady detenue and a police constable was killed while six policemen were injured yesterday when a minibus JK11-8401 fell into a deep gorge at Tutawali Gali near Bhimber Gali area of tehsil Mendhar," police here today said. They said the vehicle was returning from Parat Manjakote when the mishap took place. " The detenue identified as Lal Jan involved in murder of her husband was being taken to attend the last rites of her father on Court's directions," they added. Besides the lady detenue, a selection grade constable identified as Abdul Aziz was also killed in the accident and six others were injured. The injured were shifted to the Sub-District Hospital Manjakote from where they were referred to Rajouri hospital. |
