BJP reviews organisational activities

Jammu, July 7 : A meeting of district prahbaris and seh-prabharis of Jammu and Kashmir was convened here today to take a review of the organization activities during the last one month and to plan the organization programmes for the next month. It was presided over by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and conducted by State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul.
The important issue of the discussion was the country-wide membership drive currently going on throughout the country and to be completed by 15th August, 2012. It was decided that for each mandal in each district, a team of party activists will be constituted and each member of the team will be individually incharge of specific number of polling booths in the mandal. This will enable direct contact with the masses and motivate them for taking up the party membership.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, which addressing the meeting, said that the immediate priority of the party at this time is to enrol maximum number of new members and for this the district prabharis will have to put more efforts and take personal interest and follow up so that there is no flackness at the lower level. He also appealed for generous contribution for the funds to be raised for the construction of the new party office complex named Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookeerjee Bhawan at Jammu. For this purpose also, printed coupons and copies have been dispatched to each district, he added.
Manhas also referred to Antodya Yojana campaign of the party and said that this will help the party to provide financial and physical support to the poorest of the poor in each part of the state.
Ashok Kaul, which expressing satisfaction over the party's drive said that this membership drive is like a PARV / festival for the party and before the organizational lecturer process, this exercise is being taken up through out the country.
Earlier, each of the prabhari also presented a reporting of the party's activities being undertaken in their respective district.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included National Executive Members Dr. Nirmal Singh, Ashok Khajuria, Jugal Kishore Sharma and Dr. Jitendra Singh, State Vice-presidents Bali Bhagat, C.P. Ganga and Col. Uttam Singh, State General Secretaries Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A) and Usha Choudhary, State Treasure Harinder Gupta, State Secretaries Vibodh Gupta, Mamta Singh, Purnima Sharma and Shilpi Verma, Membership Incharge Mohan Singh Chauhan, Capt. Ramesh Lal, Shakti Parihar, Inderjit Sharma and Sanjeev Sharma.
