Work with coordination to address public grievances: Dy CM to officers

JAMMU, July 7 : Calling upon line departments to work in close coordination, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said ambitious projects have been launched in the State and collective efforts by all the concerned departments can yield positive results and can go a long way in addressing the grievances of the people in an effective and efficient manner. He said the government is committed to equip all the three regions of the State with required infrastructure and work on the roadmap to development is apace."With better synergy between different departments we can effectively deliver and implement government programs and policies and ensure that public expectations are met in a time bound manner", he added.
Tara Chand was addressing monthly public meeting of Sarpanchs, Panchs and local representatives of the area at Khour, today. Calling upon officers to be prompt in service delivery, the Deputy Chief Minister said prolonged summer season had put people to number of hardships and administration has to ensure that all required arrangements are put in place well in time before the coming monsoon.
He said earlier in the day, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a high level meeting at Civil Secretariat, Jammu reviewed pace and progress of development works and projects in Jammu, adding that directions have been issued to all concerned for ensuring that public expectations are met in an efficient manner and projects undertaken in different sectors are completed within the stipulated time frame.
