| Mirwaiz asks people running political shops in the name of Kashmir to pull down their shutters | | | Srinagar, February 2 Mirwaiz Molvi Umer Farooq, Chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference here on Friday said Kashmir is not the property of any one and those having opened shops in the name of Kashmir should pull down their shutters.
A day after his return from Pakistan visit, Mirwaiz while addressing a Friday congregation at historical Jamia Masjid said Hurriyat is not week enough to seek advices from other and is aware of its road map for resolution of Kashmir issue.
Amid emotional outburst Mirwaiz said “I lost my father. I lost my uncle. Thousands of people lost their loved ones here in Kashmir”. Stating that this does not mean a compromise for the sacrifices made by the sons of soil for a just cause, Mirwaiz said that those not having even a single sacrifice to their credit are living a smooth life, but are running political shops in the name of Kashmir issue.
Ruling out any compromise Hurriyat Chairman said “ The blood of Kashmiris is not a purchasable commodity and contractors will tend to sell it in international market”. Amid thunderous applause to the emotional outburst, people shouted slogans “ Hum Kya Chahtey Azadi. Yeh Mulk Hamara Hay, Iska Faisla Hum Karein Gay (We want freedom. This country is ours, we will decide its destiny).
Stating that no even a single trooper of either India and Pakistan has been killed on the line of control (LoC) during three year long ceasefire on borders, Mirwaiz regretted that Kashmiris are being killed unabatedly. Saying that even today Ab Rehman Padroo of Kokernag, a civilian, is being dubbed “a hard core terrorist” and killed in a fake encounter even today, he alleged a mafia comprising police, State Administration and politician are involved in mass killing of Kashmiris.
Alleging the money is being earned by selling bodies of innocent Kashmiris, Mirwaiz, according to KNS Correspondent who covered the proceedings of Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid, said “If visit to Pakistan is treason and if talks with India too is treason, then let us know that are we supposed to talk to China to settle Kashmir”. Pointing towards Hurriyat (G), Hurriyat Chairman said “ Why don’t people shedding tears for Kashmiris listen the groaning of suffering masses. Calling upon the leaders claiming to the be champions of the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris to understand the pain and agony of suffering masses, Mirwaiz said Hurriyat leaders don’t talk Kashmir to seek concessions and pecuniary benefits as is the way of life for some people, but the separatist amalgam talks for settling Jammu kashmir dispute.
Reacting to the non flexibility stances of India leadership, Hurriyat Chairman said “we are in trouble and issue is ours. Why should India despite having deployed seven lakh troopers in the state ask us to talk Kashmir? It is not the priority of India to settle Kashmir. We should try to find a way out in line with the wishes and aspirations of people. We are being asked to explain why Pakistan alone floats proposal and India continues to be silent over the issue, but reasons cited are enough to dispel the impression that Hurriyat stands on a week wicket”.
Dispelling the impression that Hurriyat enjoys traveling abroad just to enjoy picnics, Mirwaiz said the purpose of visits is to dispel the impression that Kashmiris support either India or Pakistan.
