| NSF demands Pathania’s removal | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , July 8: Agitated over the lack of response from the vice-chancellor of Central University on the issue of removal of OSD(Adm) Dr P S Pathania from the post, National SecularForum (NSF) activists today held a protest. They raised slogans against the VC and Pathania. NSF demanded Pathania's removal with immediate effect, saying corruption cases were still pending against him in Jammu University. Addressing media persons, NSF vice-president Surjit Choudhary said the VC should sack an official against whom corruption cases were pending. "The OSD is not only incompetent but is also a corrupt official. He is misusing his official position. The VC should take a serious notice of it and immediately remove him till the corruption charges are pending against him," he said. "Jammu has got this prestigious institution after a long struggle and no corrupt official should be allowed to ruin it," he added. "We appeal the President of India, who is the visiting Chancellor of the Central University, and the state governor to remove Pathania from his post till corruption charges are pending against him," Surjit said.
Ravi Choudhary, Narinder Singh, Sunil Kumar, Ankit Raina, Pardeep and P P Singh were also part of the protest. |
