Jammu , July 8: A one-day convention of All Guru Ravi Dass Sabha was held here today under the chairmanship of its president Vijay Lochan.
More than 150 presidents and general secretaries of different units of the sabha participated in the convention.
Addressing the gathering Lochan said some persons with vested interests had been issuing false and frivolous statements to mislead the birdari. He appealed the biradari members not to be mislead by the press statements issued by "unauthorized" persons which appeared in a section of press.
All districts and tehsil presidents of the Sabha strongly condemned the membership drive conducted by unauthorized persons and extended full cooperation to the newly elected Sabha. Lochan alleged that SC, ST and OBC employees were facing great discrimination regarding the implementation of reservation rules.
