Held in Laila Khan murder, Tak lands in Mumbai Crime Branch custody | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, July 8: After helping the Maharashtra police in unfolding the murder mystery of Bollywood starlet Laila Khan and her family members, Kishtwar police has expedited its efforts to arrest Shakir Hussain, a co-accused inthe murders. After taking Tak's custody from Munsif Court, Kishtwar, on four days transit remand, Mumbai Crime Branch kept him under the safe custody of Kishtwar police before shifting him to Jammu under tight security cover. After reaching Jammu, the Crime Branch shifted Tak to Mumbai in a flight which took off from Jammu airport at 3.20 PM and landed in Mumbai at around 7.30 PM. Sources said that after landing in Mumbai, Crime Branch team of Mumbai police shifted Tak straight to Crime Branch Office, Mumbai, where senior officers of the department put him to sustained questioning to find out the location where he claimed that he along with Shakir Hussain had buried the bodies of Laila Khan and her 5 family members. Sources said that the Crime branch during the search of Laila Khan's flat in Mumbai recovered some photographs showing the deep connections of Laila and her mother with political leaders in Mumbai. Some of the photographs were in objectionable position. Sources said that Mumbai crime branch was ascertaining the genuineness of the recovered photographs. Sources said the leaking of the recovered photographs could led to a political storm in Maharashtra. As per the investigation conducted by Kishtwar police, Laila Khan, her mother Saleena Patel, sisters Zara Patel and Nazima Patel, brother Imran Patel and cousin Reshma, who went missing 16 months ago, were murdered by Parvaiz Iqbal Tak and his friend Shakir Hussain just few days before Laila had decided to shift to Dubai along with her family to solemnize her marriage with Sonu alias Wufi Khan, son of Dawood aide Kamal Yadwani. As per Kishtwar police investigation, the reason behind the gruesome killings is the decision of Saleena Patel for handing over the attorney of her Mumbai property to Asif Sheikh instead of Parvaiz Iqbal Tak.
