| PDP deputation meets JMC Commissioner | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 9: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) leaders of district Jammu today called on Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and apprised him of the difficulties being faced by the residents putting up in the municipal limits.
The PDP leaders said that new voters cards have not been issued to the people besides there are some areas which are without street lights while where they exist are non-functional because either due to some technical fault or fused bulbs. They said that due to insufficient number of Safai Karamcharis a lot of garbage could be seen everywhere in the old city which causes lot of problems and create foul smell, flies and mosquitoes.The leaders also raised their resentment against non-implementation of ban on sale of polythene bags. PDP leaders also demanded desilting of nallahs and drains as the water gets logged in rainy season and go in the houses and shops of residents. |
