| Bodies of two Army Jawans recovered after 6 months | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 9: The bodies of two Army personnel, who were buried under snow avalanche near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district recovered after about six months. Official sources said here today two Army personnel -- Ajay Kumar and Lalit Mohan Singh of Ist Bihar -- were buried under a snow avalanche on January 24, 2012 in a forward post in Keran sector. However, due to more than 15 feet of snow, the bodies could not be recovered. As the snow had started melting in the upper reaches because of increase in the temperature, both the bodies were recovered, they said. The bodies have been brought to Sub District Hospital, Kralpora for legal formalities, they said. |
