Gupta inaugurates newly completed public facilities | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 9: Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Subash Gupta today said that coalition Government was doing its best to mitigate the grievances of people and provide them all basic facilities . Gupta was addressing a public meeting at Khanpur, border area of Jammu province, after inaugurating several development projects in these villages. At Khanpur, the MLC inaugurated newly constructed lanes and drains completed at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh. With the inauguration of the lanes and drains, the long pending demand of the people of the village with about one thousand population has been fulfilled. People of the area apprised the MLC about their grievances and demanded installation of hand pumps, adequate supply of APL ration, construction of new community hall in Kahanpur, additional rooms at Government High School Khanpur, construction of peepal tree platform and 100 KVA transformer for Gujjar basti etc. Interacting with people, after listening to their problems, the MLC assured that all their problems would be mitigated in a phased manner. He also assured that a 100 KVA transformer would be provided for the area, besides construction of platform around the peepal tree in Government High School for which the funds would be provided from his Constituency Development Fund (CFD). The MLC was accompanied by prominent citizens, political leaders and officers of various departments. Mr. Gupta directed the officers to work with zeal and complete the projects under execution within stipulated time frame. He impressed upon them to ensure judicious use of funds to provide benefits to the people with various facilities. Later, Gupta inaugurated 250 KVA transformer and a deep handpump at Khanpur village. |
