| ABVP celebrates its 'foundation day' | | | early times report
jammu, July 9: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Jammu Mahanagar celebrated its foundation day as 'Students Day' at Mahajan Hall, Shalamar, Jammu.The camp was formally inaugurated with the lightening of traditional lamp by Sandeep Aryan, Assistant Professer of Physics Department, Jammu University who was the chief guest on the occasion. In his inaugural address Aryan said that the students have to come forward for fighting against corruption and students have to build their character for leading corruption free society.
Dr Virender Koundal ,state president ,ABVP threw light on the history of ABVP and its programmes for nation building by organizing different activities and progr-ammes such as SEIL (Students Experience in Interstate Living) and WOSY (World Organisation of Students and Youth). Nikhil Kumar,City president presented Welcome address and Arun Prabhat Singh, City Secretary presented Vote of thanks . More than 50 students had participated in this event from different schools , colleges and institutions of Jammu city. The programme ends with national song 'Vandematram '. |
