| Marigold flower training camp organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 10: A one day long Marigold flower training camp was organized at Green Belt Park Gandhi Nagar near here today under the leadership of Dy Director Floriculture Jammu, SRS Bali.
While inaugurating the camp, Bali said that large number of growers from Samba and Kathua districts have adopted commercial floriculture and made a good profit by growing seasonal marigold.
He said the Department is trying hard to provide training and awareness to flower growers of Jammu division at district and block level for diversification in Floriculture.
Tajinder Singh, president Flower growers association ask farmers and department to work with coordination and helping for floriculture revolution in Jammu and Kashmir State for diversification and profitability in agriculture.
District Floriculture Jammu Satish Sultan Floriculture assured farmers that Department will provide technical know-how and quality seeds under various centrally sponsored schemes so that farmers of Jammu division could earn better livelihood by growing flowers throughout the year.
