| Punjab wrestler Vikas lifts Bhabber Kesari Dangal title | | | early times report
JAMMU, July 10: Punjab wrestler Vikas of Khanna clinched the 1st Bhabber Kesari Dangal title outplaying Yaswant of Mallarkotla in Punjab in the main bout played at Bhabber in district Reasi.
Vikas was awarded with cash Prize of Rs 5,000 and traditional silver gurj while runner up wrestler Yaswant presented Rs 4,000 cash incentive by chief guest, Naib Tehsildar Reasi, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, who was accompanied by president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and working president of district Reasi unit of the Association, Naresh Kumar.
In this Dangal, 55 bouts were decided wherein local wrestlers besides wrestlers from Northern Indian states participated. An amount of Rs. 92,000 incurred on this day-long event which was witnessed by a huge crowed of wrestling lovers.
In second main bout wrestler Najeem of Muffarbad in Uttar Pradesh beat wrestler Kallu of Sarore Najeem to receive a cash prize of Rs. 4,000 while runners-up, Kallu got Rs. 3,500. In third bout, Love of Amritsar defeated Mohd. Akram of Jammu while fourth bout went to Sanif Ali of Mallerkotla, who beat Bobari of Sarore in Jammu. In the fifth bout Murad Ali of Domana defeated wrestler Satnam of Amritsar. The seventh bout was won by Mohd. Sadiq of Domana be ting wrestler Sanjay. Members and technical committee and the organizing committee, who helped in conduct of this dangal included Panch Som Raj, Panch Sansar Chand, Panch Kaku Ram, Mohan Lal, Ashok Kumar, Mohd. Sadiq, Sanjay Kumar, Shashi Kumar, Mohd. Fareed, Manjoor Hussain, Bittu Raina, Master Ali Akbar, Gul Mohd and Murli Dar.
This Dangal organized by Bhabbar Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
