'Clandestine nexus, ulterior motives behind bovine smuggling' | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, July 10: Inspite of the ban imposed by law on transportation of bovines, the state administration so oblivious of the fact that this smuggling is going on day in and day out adding that there is a clandestine nexus and ulterior motives involved in this whole case, alleged Bajrang Dal Kathua and Hindu Seva Samiti (HSS), Pathankot. This was stated by district president Devinder Sharma, Gosha Verma and Babu Thakur District Secretary HSS Pathankot while addressing a press conference here today. It is well known that transportation of bovine without valid permission is banned in four states including Jammu Kashmir, the leaders said. They further said that the ban is from the times of Maharaja Hari Singh and continues till today. But this ban is followed more in breach than in adherence. This is all possible with the tacit support of some corrupt officials in the administration as alleged by the parties. Further saying it was alleged by the leaders that it is an open secret now that police is fully involved in facilitating this illegal activity. Inspite of several complaints, nothing tangible has been done by the administration. This is a clear cut case of inciting communal tension as Bovines are considered sacred by Hindus and are in fact worshipped. But the dirty politics involved is flaring this issue which may over a period of time go out of the hands of administration. This is an affront to Hindu religion. The leaders warned the administration that if this heinous act of smuggling is not checked, they will be constrained to take controls in their hands. They further appealed to the Hindus to understand the global conspiracy involved in maligning Hindu religion of which State has become an active part to unite and fight out this menace. |
