One killed, six injured as car rolls down in Ramban | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 10: One person was killed, another goes missing while six others including two children sustained injuries when a Maruti Car on its way from Srinagar to Doda, skidded off the road and rolled down into river Chanab. One person yet Police spokesperson said, the incident took place when the ill fated vehicle reached near Karol, Ramban and driver lost control over the vehicle without registration number but bearing engine number 4466654 which rolled down into river Chanab. Soon-after receiving the information about the accident a team led by DySP Hqrs Ramban Perbeet Singh Parihar rushed to the spot and started rescue operation under the close supervision of Anil Magotra, SP Ramban. Police rescued six injured namely as Mohd Altaf S/o Mohd Ramzan R/o Chapnari Banihal, Mushtaq Ahmed S/o Abdullah Malik , Saqib Hussain S/o Noor Mohd. R/o Jarkote, Mohd Jahangir S/o Gh. Nabi R/o Tatna, Shamima Begum w/o Ab. Rashid R/o Dongar, Khursheed Ahmed S/o Ab Rashid R/o Doda. However, one girl namely Rubina Bano D/o Ad Rashid R/o Dongar could not be traced from the site of accident. All the injured persons were immediately shifted to District Hospital Ramban for necessary treatments where one injured namely Khursheed Ahmed S/o Ab. Rashid R/o Doda succumbed to his injuries. The dead body of the deceased handed over to his legal heir for last rites. Meanwhile police has registered a case under FIR No. 102/2012 u/s 279/337/304-A RPC at Police Station Ramban and further investigation is in progress. |
