| Laila murder solved Bodies of actress, family members found; weapon recovered | | |  Asif Iqbal Naik
KISHTWAR, July 10: With the recovery of bodies of Laila and her family members at Igatpuri farmhouse, the mystery finally came to an end.
According to the reports a team of Mumbai Police Crime Branch and ATS during search operations inside Igatpuri farmhouse found the bodies and weapon of offence on the instance of accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak who had confessed to the serial murder during interrogation by Jammu Kashmir Police.
The sources said that Tak informed the Kishtwar police about his fight with Saleena Patel when she informed him (Tak) about Asif Sheikh's absence at Igatpuri where all the family members were present on the fateful night when the entire family was wiped out.
The sources said the dead bodies were found at the same spot where Kishtwar police zeroed in during Tak's sustained questioning before he was handed over to Mumbai Crime Branch by a local court on July 7, 2012. The sources said that accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak objected to Saleena closeness towards her second husband Asif Sheikh.
Sources added that on the day of murder, Tak also questioned transferring of property on attorney to Asif Sheikh’s name. Saleena said it was her property and he (Tak) had nothing to do with that. She also informed the Tak that Asif Sheikh had helped her a lot in past and also termed the transferring of attorney on the name of Asif Sheikh as personal matter.
On this accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak turned violent. After exchanging heated arguments Tak left his bedroom on the first floor of the farmhouse and came down in the hall on first floor in a state of anger. Tak during his fight with Saleena informed her that he is not anymore interested to stay back with her and wanted to go home.
The sources said that when accused Tak was about to vacate Igatpuri residence of deceased actress, Saleena tried to prevent him from leaving the house as a result of which Tak pushed her and later threw a stone (Decorated stone) at her which incidentally hit her head. Saleena fell unconscious and within no time all the family members including Laila Khan, Azmina Patel, Imran Patel, Zarra Patel and Reshma Patel alias Tally come out of their rooms and raised hue and cry.
The sources said that Shakir Hussain entered inside the hall informed Tak that Saleena was probably dead. The sources said that on this all the family members' tried to get hold of accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak and started beating him. Shakir came to his rescue and ultimately both of them beat them with bamboo rods to death.
The sources said Tak took this extreme step to save him from the clutches of the law. The sources said that after killing all the six family members in between 2 AM to 3 AM of February 9 morning, both Tak and his friend Shakir Hussain buried the bodies inside 7 feet deep pound already dug for construction of underground water tank by the family just adjacent to the swimming pool inside the farmhouse.
The sources said that both Tak and Shakir buried all the six family members one by one and filled the whole dugout area with mud along with their clothes. The sources said that it was not clear weather all the family members were dead when Tak buried them in the water tank.
The sources said that after killing all the six family members, Tak along with his friend reached Jammu and stayed at Hotel Asia on 12th of February. The sources said that Tak also informed the Kishtwar police that whole family before they were killed enjoyed the dinner together and had fun through all the day.
The sources said that while other family members enjoyed the trip at his farmhouse, accused Tak was infuriated as most of the time Saleena and her family members felt absence of Tak at Igatpuri farmhouse. The sources said that on 8th of February both Tak and Saleena offered prayers at local Dharga at Igatpuri.
Earlier Mumbai Police along with Crime Branch Mumbai and forensic experts rushed to Igatpuri farmhouse of the deceased actress along with accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak who showed them the exact location and spot just behind the swimming pool inside the farmhouse where he (Tak) along with his friend Shakir Hussain buried the six family members after murdering them.
The sources said that at behest of the Tak, Mumbai police also recovered the weapon of offence used by accused Tak in killing the family members. The sources said that after identifying the place, Mumbai police dug the part of the area and recovered the decomposed part of the Skelton and a piece of cloth which Tak identified as that of his wife Saleena Patel.
The sources said that Mumbai police and Crime Branch preferred not to bring out the dead bodies out of the Water tank, since it could hamper collection of forensic evidence. The sources said that after getting hand on the spot where the dead bodies are buried, Crime Branch Mumbai recreated the scene of crime inside the Banglow. Keeping in view presence of media , Mumbai police cordoned off 4 KM area around the farm house this morning in the presence of top police officials.
Police officials in Mumbai confirmed that the accused, Parvez Iqbal Tak have been brought to Igatpuri and as per his directions digging operations have begun to search for bodies. Mumbai Crime branch also quiz and detained Laila Khan's car drivers Jony Gilder and Mehboob Sheikh of Igatpuri. One of the two detainees is said to had drive accused Tak vehicle up to Jammu for which Tak paid him Rs. 6000.
It is worth mentioning here that "Early Times" in its 8th July, 2012 edition first published how Tak and his friend Shakir Hussain murdered Laila Khan and her 5 family members. As per the investigation conducted by Kishtwar police team of Dy. SP Headquarters Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary, SHO Police Station Mushtaq Ahmed and Sub Inspector Nayeem-ul-Haq Mattoo under the supervision of SSP B.S Tutti Bollywood Starlet Laila Khan, her mother Saleena Patel, Sisters Zara Patel and Nazima Patel, brother Imran Patel and cousin Reshma who went missing 16 months ago was murdered by Parvaiz Iqbal Tak and his friend Shakir Hussain just few days before Laila Khan has decided to shift to Dubai along with her family to solemnized her marriage with Sonu alias Wufi Khan son of Dawood aide Kamal Yadwani. |
