| SSP, DySP arrested in Padder’s missing case | | | Jammu, February 03 Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested former senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Hans Raj Parihar and Dy. SP Bahdur Ram in the Abdul Rehman Padder missing case under section 364, 302-RPC. With the arrest of these two senior officers the total number of policemen has gone up to four as ASI Farooq Ahmed of Ganderbal police and Farooq Ahmed Padder posted in District Police Lines Srinagar have already been arrested. This is in the background of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s announcement that the guilty cops in Mr. Padders’s case of whatsoever rank are positioned, will be booked and brought to law for punishment. It is pertinent to mention here that on December 14, 2006, a complaint was received at police station Batamaloo in Srinagar that one Abdul Rehman Padder S/o Gh. Rasool Padder resident of Larnooe Kokarnag was missing from Srinagar w.e.f. December 8, 2006. The missing person was working as carpenter in Srinagar and outskirts. Upon receipt of this complaint a missing report file was opened in the police station Batamaloo and investigation was taken up and witnesses were examined. During the investigation family persons of the missing person revealed that the said Abdul Rehman Padder was in a possession of a mobile phone number 9419901156 IMIE number 35705400084988 before he went missing. The investigation officer questioned the said person where from it was revealed that the said Bashir Ahmed Bhat had given his SIM card to one of his acquaintances namely Ab. Rashid Wagay S/o Abdul Gani resident of Khanpora Hajan Sonawari. The investigating agency questioned Abdul Rashid Wagay from whom the missing person’s mobile phone was recovered and on his revelations, further enquiries made in police district Ganderbal. Subsequently several police officers were brought for questioning, two of whom ASI Farooq Ahmed and Driver Farooq Ahmed were put under arrest in connection with the disappearance of Abdul Rehman Padder. |
