VC JU compliments ASC for improvement in NAAC ranking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 11: Academic Staff College (ASC) of University of Jammu has been ranked All India 18th by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC. The three-member NAAC peer team that visited University of Jammu between February 23-25, 2012 comprised of its Chairman, Prof. N. S Gajb-hiye, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwa-Vidyalaya, Sagar, Prof. M S K Khokar, Head, Rural Technology & Dean College Development Council, Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur and Prof U. Subba Rao, Bhim Rao Amb-edkar Open University, Hyderabad this year reviewed activities and performance of the UGC-Academic Staff College JU and presented a copy of the report to UGC. Assessment and evaluation was done by the NAAC team for the curricular aspects of various training courses conducted by the Academic Staff College, programme organization, delivery and evaluation, infrastructure and learning resources available with the College, leadership, governance and functional efficiency, management information systems and innovative practices adopted by the College. Prof Ishar expressed satisfaction over the ranking by the NAAC in spite of being only six years old and hoped that the ASC shall improve their ranking in the near future. The VC also appreciated the good work being done by Director Prof Neelam Saraf , and the staff of Academic Staff College. |
