KP's Township continues to real under acute water -power shortage | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 11: The dream project of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for rehabilitation of exiled community at Jagti near Nagrota continued to reel under shortage of water and power despite protests and dharnas reasons best known to the authorities at helm of affairs. With hot and humid days already on, the migrant community living in Jagti Township, the tenants of township have literally been forced to acute shortage of electricity and water for the past many days. Sources said the entire camp faces shortage of water for the last couple of days which adds fuels to the fire. Already this camp has a long power cut of 16 per day in this scorching hot and humid weather. The worst suffers were children and elderly people while the sick too have an odd experience at the migrant township courtesy the authorities at the helms of affairs. The inhabitants of the camp have made an appeal to Chief Minister besides PHE and PDD Minister to be enough merciful and restore the smooth supply of basic amenities regularly. |
