‘Coalition may not last long’ | | | early times report Jammu, July 11: The National Conference workers are confused over Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah's mysterious silence over recent verbal dual between alliance partners. The trust deficit among top leaders of the alliance has been sending wrong signals to the workers. They (workers) fear that the coalition would not last long incase the trend is not checked. The confused workers say if the leaders could not sing in chorus, how do they expect prudence at the lower level? Pertinent to mention, the leaders especially Dr Mustafa Kamaal has been issuing harsh statements against Congress and its leadership. He has even challenged accession and the 1975 Accord accusing government of India of cheating. In his recent statement, he accused Congress leader and Minister for irrigation and flood control of getting elected in 2008 elections by army help. Taj has plans to sue kamala for the statement. The tussle will have a serious bearing on the coalition during forthcoming local body elections, feel the political experts.
