Observe July 13 as Black Day: KPC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 11: While appealing Kashmiri Pandit community residing in state, country and abroad to observe July 13 as "Black Day" by wearing black badges, switching off lights of their residences and business establishments from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm followed by evening prayers for all the Martyrs, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has supported the statement of senior BJP leader L K Advani that an agitation would be launched if any attempt was made to reverse the integration process of Kashmir with India. Addressing a party activists meet here today, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri stated that all the nationalist forces in particular Kashmiri pandits would fully resist to all those efforts which would take Kashmir away or weaken its writ and relations with rest of the India. Kashmiri said that Kashmir belongs to all Kashmiris and not to a particular section or an amalgam who dictate in terms of solving the so called Kashmir issue as per their terms and conditions. He reiterated that autonomy or self-rule is not any solution to this problem created by the fundamentalists and separatists which was time and again rejected by the KP community, but abrogation of Article 370 from the state of J&K would bring prosperity, development and peace in the state and consolidated rehabilitation of internally displaced KPs in the valley under writ of Indian constitution is only way out to solve the KPs rehabilitation problem. Further reacting over repeated statements of National Conference leader Dr. Mustafa Kamal for granting autonomy to J&K state and making LoC irrelevant, Kundan Kashmiri advised him to leave the habit of misleading the people by giving them false hopes with the ultimate motive to grab the power of J&K state through fear or foul means.
