| 9 years RI to Husband, wife in murder case | | | Jammu, July 11 (JNF): 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta today awarded 9 years rigorous imprisonment to Balbir Singh S/O Jora Singh and Rani Kour w/o Balbir Singh resident of Govindpura Chatha who are facing trial for committing murder of one Rajesh Kumar @ Shashi. Deceased Shashi had lent a loan of Rs. ten thousand to Rani Kour which she had promised to repay within two months, but when she did not repay the loan as per the commitment, Shashi started visiting her house demanding his amount. Irritated by his repeated visits to their residence, Rani kour and husband Balbir Singh killed the deceased by sprinkling kerosene on him and then setting him on fire. 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta after hearing Additional Public Prosecutor KA Qazi for the state whereas Adv Prince Khanna appearing for the accused persons sentenced accused husband and wife to nine years rigrous imprisonment.
