| ‘Large chunk of teacher vacancies being advertised’ | | New subjects being introduced for improving quality education: Peerzada | | JAMMU, February 03 Minister for School Education and Haj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has said that new subjects are being introduced to improve quality of education in the state. Peerzada accompanied by Member Legislative Assembly Mr. Mula Ram was addressing a school function at Bhalwal today. He said that large chunk of teacher vacancies are being advertised for filling up of these vacancies through Service Selection recruitment Board and other recruiting agencies so that the educational institutions newly opened or upgraded during last four years are provided teachers for smooth functioning of these institutions. Apprising the gathering about the major achievements of present coalition government, Peerzada said that the educational system had been derailed during turmoil and infrastructure had been damaged to a large extent, adding that the government made all out efforts to rebuild the education institutions and provide infrastructural facilities to the students community. MLA and Ex-Minister Mr. Mula Ram on this occasion while lauding the role of coalition government in mitigating the grievances of masses said that opening of 22 new colleges and upgradation of large number of schools is a remarkable achievement of the government. He said that many other revolutionary steps were taken by the government in respect of Health, R&B, Social Welfare and Power sectors.
